CLEVELAND, Miss. – The Delta State University Women's Basketball Team (11-8, 7-6 GSC) are set for a two-game road trip to the Yellowhammer State to take on the Warhawks of Auburn University at Montgomery, and the Falcons of the University of Montevallo.
The Lady Statesmen will tip off against the Warhawks this afternoon at 5:30 p.m., (CDT). Following that, DSU will travel to Montevallo to take on the Falcons Saturday at 2:00 p.m., (CDT).

Michael Gross will be on the call on the Statesmen Sports Network while AUM and Montevallo will provide the broadcast on the FloCollege Network.
Scouting the Lady Statesmen
- Delta State enters this weekend winners in three of their last five games. Last time out, the Lady Statesmen pushed the nationally ranked Lady Bulldogs from Union to the limit but fell 71-67 last Saturday in Sillers Coliseum.
- Senior forward Grace Watson was the key for the green and white last weekend as she averaged 12.5 points per game and pulled down nine rebounds per game. Against Union, Watson posted her sixth double-double of the season scoring 14 points and grabbing 10 rebounds.
- In the backcourt, the duo of Wakiryah Daniels and Madi Kate Vuncannon made some noise last weekend. Against CBU, Daniels posted a season high 18 points and three rebounds. Against Union, Vuncannon scored 11 points shooting 3-4 from beyond the arch.
Scouting the Warhawks
- AUM enters this weekend with momentum after winning three straight games against Valdosta State, Lee, and Trevecca Nazarene. The Warhawks are 8-10 with a 6-7 GSC record. Last time against DSU, AUM had four players in double digits but the Lady Statesmen won 77-66.
- The Warhawks' backcourt is led by the top scorer in the GSC in senior guard Allasha Dudley. The Montgomery native averages 17.9 points per game this season. Last time against DSU, Dudley scored 15 points for the orange and black.
- The Front court for AUM has done some damage this season led by Samya Brooks and Danielle Luckey. Against DSU, Brooks had 15 points and six rebounds shooting 4-9 from the field. Luckey posted a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds.
Scouting the Falcons
- Montevallo enters this weekend with an 8-10 overall record and a 6-7 record in the GSC. Last time out, the Falcons fell to the Lady Flames from Lee 76-53. Last time against DSU, the Lady Statesmen came out on top of a 61-59 battle.
- The Falcons are led by up and coming freshman Aubrey Sorrells. The Hamilton, Ala., native leads all Montevallo scorers averaging 12.6 points per game while pulling down 5.4 rebounds per game. Against DSU, Sorrells was one of four Falcons in double digits with 10 points and six rebounds.
- Last time against DSU, the Falcons got a season best performance from graduate guard Anna Katherine Eastman. Eastman scored a season best 21 points going 5-7 from beyond the arch.
