Box Score HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The Delta State University Men's Soccer Team battled hard for 90 minutes on Sunday afternoon, in a narrow 1-0 setback against UAH at Charger Park.

Goalkeeper Leo Summers collected five saves while keeping the Statesmen within striking distance throughout the match. Summers was especially sharp in the first half, making four key stops to deny multiple Charger opportunities.

After conceding the lone goal midway through the first half, Delta State responded with an energized second-half effort. The Green and White generated five shots in the final 45 minutes, including quality looks from Elijah Belk, Ryan Thistle, and Ashton Taylor, forcing UAH's keeper into action down the stretch.

Defensively, Logan Funk, Santi Rossi, and Landon Cox anchored a backline that limited UAH to just four second-half shots, keeping the match within reach until the final whistle. Braden Taylor and Aidan Hayes provided additional defensive support, contributing to a much-improved shape and transition effort.

Delta State (1-8-2, 0-6-1 GSC) will look to build on Sunday's momentum when it returns home next week for another conference matchup against Trevecca Nazarene Friday afternoon at Delta Field.
