CLEVELAND, Miss. – The Delta State University Men's Basketball Team is back in town for a two-game home slate this weekend as they host the University of West Alabama and the University of Alabama-Huntsville in Walter Sillers Coliseum.
DSU will host the Tigers from West Alabama tomorrow evening at 7:30 p.m. (CT) fans are encouraged to wear an ugly Christmas sweater. DSU will finish up the weekend with the "Selfies with Santa game," against the Chargers from UAH Saturday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. (CT).

Scouting the Statesmen
- Delta State enters this weekend with a 5-4 overall record and a 2-2 record in Gulf South Conference Play. Last time out, Delta State got their first road win of the season with an 83-65-win Sunday at Auburn Montgomery.
- Junior Guard Bryce Clayton had a career high weekend at Montevallo Thursday and followed it up with another career day Sunday afternoon. The Naples native scored 21 points Thursday evening and followed it up with a 27-point performance on Sunday against AUM. Clayton shot 12-20 in the two-game span from beyond the arch.
- Sophomore guard Brendan Braddix also posted a career high 11 points off the bench in the DSU win against AUM Sunday afternoon. The Cincinnati native also collected two steals in the contest.
Scouting the Tigers
- West Alabama is off to a hot start in the 2025-26 season with an 8-1 overall record and an unblemished 4-0 start in Gulf South Conference Play.
- Last weekend, the Tigers were in Livingston where they defeated Lee 64-49 and Trevecca 78-70. UWA has four guys averaging double digits in the scoring column.
- UWA's top scorer is redshirt senior Rasean Frederick. The Stony Brook Transfer is averaging 12.8 points per game. Last time out, Frederick had a season-high 22 points and 10 rebounds in UWA's 78-70 win against Trevecca.
Scouting the Chargers
- The defending Gulf South Champions UAH come to town entering this weekend with a 7-3 overall record and a 2-2 record in Gulf South Conference Play.
- The Chargers went 1-1 last weekend in Huntsville as they fell to the Trojans from Trevecca Nazarene 70-61 Thursday night then followed it up with an 89-68 win over Lee Saturday afternoon.
- The Chargers are led by Kentucky Wesleyan Transfer Quentin Toles. The Ohio native currently averages 17.3 points per game in 10 games played for UAH. Last time out, Toles scored 21 points in 29 minutes played in the 89-68 win over Lee. That marked the sixth time that Toles eclipsed the 20-point mark in a game this season.
