BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Delta State University Men's Basketball senior point guard
Chris Terrell has earned First Team All-GSC honors announced by the Gulf South Conference office this afternoon.
Terrell is the first Statesmen to earn first team All-GSC honors since
Maalik Cartwright earned first team All-GSC West honors in the 2020-21 season.
The Horn Lake native led the Statesmen and was third top scorer in the GSC averaging 21.2 points per game. Terrell was a two-time GSC Player of the Week who holds the most points in a single game with his 42-point performance against Auburn-Montgomery back in mid-December.
Throughout the 2024-25 season Terrell has averaged 3.6 assists per game while shooting 44% from the field.
Terrell also has shined on the defensive end for the green and white as he would be a key to Delta State's defensive pressure, leading the nation in 98 steals in the regular season.
Terrell scored 1,025 points, dished out 209 assists and collected 177 steals in his two-season career at Delta State.
