Box Score 2 ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – The Delta State University Softball Team (12-32, 5-23 GSC) fell in a double header to the Reddies from Henderson State University (27-23, 11-19 GAC) Tuesday afternoon at Dee White Field in Arkadelphia.
The Reddies won game one 7-2 and game two 9-1. Senior outfielder

GAME ONE
The Lady Statesmen took a 1-0 lead early on solid base running but fell behind and lost 7-2.
Linda Ornelas would score on the double steal as
Mattie Granberry would steal second to give Delta State a 1-0 lead in the top of the second.
The Reddies would tie the game up at 1-1 in the fourth before scoring six in the fifth to make it 7-1.
Abbi Cataldo cut the deficit to 7-2 with a rbi single in the top of the seventh but the Reddies would stop DSU from adding on. Cataldo went 2-4 in game one.

GAME TWO
The Lady Statesmen fell behind by a six-run deficit early in a 9-1 loss in game two.
At the plate, DSU would add six hits including a rbi single from Cataldo in the top of the fifth to cut the deficit to 6-1.
The Lady Statesmen will travel to Clinton, Miss., to take on the Choctaws from Mississippi College in a three-game series Friday and Saturday. The series will kick off with a double header starting at 3:00 p.m. (CDT) Friday afternoon.
