Scouting the Lady Statesmen:Â
- The Lady Statesmen look to get a win as they are currently tied for fourth place with Lee and Trevecca Nazarene in the GSC Standings. Last weekend the Lady Statesmen went 1-1 last week with an overtime win against Trevecca Nazarene and an overtime loss to Lee.
- Dakiya Toney and Jariyah Williamson are both averaging double digit points for the Lady Statesmen. Williamson leads all scorers, averaging 10.3 points per game and also has a team high 33 assists. Toney averages 10 points per game and leads the team averaging 6.7 rebounds per gameÂ
- Madi Kate Vuncannon leads the Lady Statesmen in 3PM, shooting 38% from beyond the arch which is third in the Gulf South Conference.Â
- Olivia Allen has been an impact player on both sides of the ball, the Batesville, Ark., native leads the Lady Statesmen and is ninth in the conference averaging 2.0 steals per game.Â
Scouting the Choctaws:Â
- MC is entering this weekend with a 5-10 overall record and a 4-6 record in Gulf South ConferenceÂ
- Nia Coleman and Valencia McFall are the top two scorers for the Choctaws. Coleman leads MC averaging 14.1 points per game while McFall averages 12.9 points per game. McFall also leads the Choctaws in rebounds averaging 5.4 per game and steals, averaging 1.3 steals per game.
- Vivian Sketoe is shooting 35% from beyond the arc, leading the Choctaws in three pointers made averaging 1.7 per game.Â
