Cleveland, Miss. - The Delta State University Lady Statesmen Women's basketball team (8-8, 6-5 GSC) will be on the road all weekend for two more Gulf South Conference games. On Thursday at 5:00 PM, the Statesmen will travel to Memphis, TN to tip-off against the Buccaneers of Christian Brothers University (3-14, 0-11 GSC). On Saturday at 2:00 PM weather pending, the Statesmen will travel to Jackson, TN to face the Bulldogs of Union University (12-7, 7-4 GSC)

Scouting the Lady Statesmen:
- Delta State enters this weekend at .500 with an 8-8 overall record and are 6-5 in Gulf South Conference Play. Last weekend, the Lady Statesmen lost to Mississippi College 69-63 Saturday in Clinton.
- Jaryiah Williamson leads the Lady Statesmen in scoring, averaging over 10 points per game. Last time out, Williamson had a double-double performance scoring 11 points and grabbing 11 rebounds against MC
- Dakiya Toney and Olivia Allen also have contributed so far this season. Allen leads the Lady Statesmen with 31 steals on the season. Toney leads the Lady Statesmen on the glass averaging 6.7 rebounds per game.
Scouting the Lady Bucs:
- The Lady Bucs enter this weekend with a 3-14 overall record and are winless in the GSC with an 0-11 record in conference play. The Lady Bucs are on an 11-game losing streak.
- Alice Conrad and Donee' Frazier each average double-digit points on the season. Frazier currently averages 17.6 points per game while Conrad averages 11.4 points per game. Conrad also leads in assists, rebounds, and steals.
- Last time out, CBU fell to Lee 63-45 Saturday afternoon in Cleveland, Tenn. Frazier led all scorers with 29 points on the afternoon.
Scouting the Lady Bulldogs:
- The Lady Bulldogs are coming off a rough weekend on the road with a 12-7 overall record and a 7-4 record in Gulf South Conference Play. The Lady Bulldogs fell to Lee 79-66 and Trevecca Nazarene 70-61 last weekend.
- Olivia Lee and Courtney Zenson each average double-digit points on the season. Lee leads all scorers averaging 15.1 points per game while Zenson averages 11.0 points per game. Last time out, Lee led the Lady Bulldogs with 19 points and 7 rebounds in the loss to Trevecca Nazarene.
- Morgan Escobedo leads the team in assists (70) and steals (41). Against Trevecca Nazarene, Escobedo scored eight points and added on three assists.
