EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The Delta State University Swim and Dive programs continued competition Thursday at the
2026 NCAA Division II Swimming & Diving Championships inside the Deaconess Aquatic Center, highlighted by an
All-America relay performance and three individual scoring swims.
Delta State's women were led by a strong showing in the
100-yard butterfly consolation final, where
Zinna Nimander placed
9th overall with a time of 53.95, earning
Second Team All-America honors. Teammates
Janne Bodemer and
Mikayla Kloth also scored for the Lady Statesmen, finishing
15th (55.28) and
16th (56.12) respectively to add additional points for Delta State.
The Lady Statesmen capped the evening with a standout performance in the
400-yard medley relay. The quartet of
Kaley Davis, Chloe Skelt, Zinna Nimander, and Olivia Murphy finished
8th with a time of 3:41.16, securing
First Team All-America honors with the top-eight finish.
On the men's side, Delta State competed in the
400-yard medley relay, where
Mateus Franco, Jacob Hamblen, Kacper Mochnal, and Ethan Baylin posted a time of
3:15.79 to finish
14th overall, earning valuable points for the Statesmen.
Through three days of competition, the
Lady Statesmen sit 10th in the team standings with 87 points, while the
Statesmen hold 15th place with 37 points heading into the final two days of the national championship meet.
Delta State will return to the pool
Friday for the NCAA Division II Championships as the continue to compete until Saturday evening.
