Cleveland, Miss. - The Delta State University Lady Statesmen Softball Team (6-13, 2-4 GSC) will host the Bucs of Christian Brothers (4-13-1, 0-9 GSC) this weekend in a Gulf South Conference series at University Field.
There has been changes in game times due to inclement weather in the forecast for Saturday. The Lady Statesmen will now play a double-header on Friday starting at 3 PM. There will be a single game played Sunday at 2 PM.

Scouting the Lady Statesmen:
- The Lady Statesmen have been building up some momentum rolling into this weekend, including a game two upset over #7 West Florida last weekend, and a midweek sweep over Henderson State.
- Kyleigh Wheaton leads the Lady Statesmen at the plate. She posts a .431 batting average on five doubles, one triple, and six home runs, while driving in 23 runs.
- Maeve Lavoy has been great in the circle this season. In 32 innings pitched, she posts a 3.72 ERA and a 3-1 record. She has struck out 19 this season.
- In the win against Henderson State, Carly Dunigan went 4-7 throughout the double header with five runs driven in. Dunigan enters this weekend hitting .396 with 15 RBIs, four doubles and two home runs.
Scouting the Lady Bucs:
- The Bucs continue to seek their first conference win, after being swept the two weekends prior against West Florida and West Alabama.
- Marin Beeson leads the Lady Bucs at the plate with a .373 batting average and three home runs.
- Emily Schooler leads with 60.1 innings pitched. She posts a 3-5 record with a 2.67 ERA. In those 60 innings, she has walked 33 and struck out 50.
