Cleveland, Miss. - The Delta State University softball team (12-29, 6-18 GSC) looks to win some big games this weekend in their pursuit of making the GSC tournament. The Lady Statesmen will travel to Montgomery, Alabama to play the #6 Auburn University Montgomery Warhawks (34-7, 17-7 GSC). 

Games one and two will be played in a double header on Friday starting at 1:00 PM. Game three will be played on Saturday at 12 noon. 

All games will be streamed live on the FloCollege Network. 

Scouting the Lady Statesmen: 

• Lady Statesmen look to surpass their 2025 season win total this weekend against Nationally Ranked AUM. 

• Calli McConnell had a solid outing at the plate last weekend for the Lady Statesmen. The senior third baseman went 4-8 at the plate with a double and a run driven in.  

• Kyleigh Wheaton is hitting .383 at the plate with 21 extra base hits and 35 RBIs. 

• Carly Dunigan is also having a good year at the plate, hitting .368 with 19 extra base hits and 27 RBIs. 

• Maeve Lavoy has been great in the circle this year for the Lady Statesmen. In 104 innings pitched, she posts a 4.76 ERA with 72 strikeouts. 

Scouting the Warhawks: 

• AUM sits at a tie for second in the conference and is currently ranked #6 National Fastpitch Coaches' Association top 25 poll with a 34-7 overall record and are 17-7 in conference play. 

• Chloe Baynes leads the Warhawks in batting average. She is hitting .466 with seven extra base hits and 14 RBIs. She has 41 stolen bases on the season. 

• Rebecca Komers has been a big bat in the Warhawks order. She is hitting over .400 as well with five homeruns and 10 doubles. She has 35 RBIs on the year and 17 stolen bases.
