Cleveland, Miss. - The Delta State University softball team (12-32, 6-21 GSC) will host the Choctaws of Mississippi College (25-19-1, 15-12 GSC) this weekend at University Field.  

Games one and two will be played in a double header on Friday starting at 1:00 PM. Game three will be played on Saturday starting at 1:00 PM. 

The Senior day festivities will be in between game one and game two of the double header Friday afternoon.  

Scouting the Lady Statesmen: 

• Kyleigh Wheaton leads the Lady Statesmen at the plate with a .361 batting average on 11 doubles and nine homeruns. 

• Maeve Lavoy has also been a big bat for the Lady Statesmen with a .356 batting average with four doubles and one homerun. 

• Lavoy has also been big in the circle for the Lady Statesmen. She posts a 4.63 on 116.1 innings and 76 strikeouts. 

• Senior Calli McConnell has come alive at the plate for the green and white. McConnell last weekend, had a multi-hit performance going 2 for 3 at the dish the last time out.  

Scouting the Choctaws: 

• Megan Matheis leads the Choctaws at the plate with a .402 batting average on seven doubles and two homeruns. 

• Blakely Gill has been a big bat as well, posting a .350 batting average with 14 doubles, seven homeruns, and 32 RBIs. 

• Reagan Rios leads the Choctaws in the circle, posting a 3.41 ERA on 102.2 innings pitched and 67 strikeouts.
