Statesmen Open Up Conference Play with Two-Match Home Stand against Union and UAH

CLEVELAND, Miss. - The Delta State University men's soccer team returns to Delta Field this week for a two-game Gulf South Conference home stand tomorrow afternoon and Saturday afternoon.
 
The home stand begins with Union University on Wednesday, September 16, followed by a Saturday, September 19 matchup against UAH at Delta Field. Both matches are scheduled for approximately 3:30 p.m. CT.
 
 
Scouting the Statesmen:
  • Delta State enters the two-game home stand with a 2-3-1 overall record, including shutout wins over Harding and Eckerd.
  • Tazjean Bird leads the Statesmen with 4 points, recording one goal and two assists through six matches.
  • Lucas Crowley has recorded one goal and one assist, while Samuel Fitschen has two assists on the season.
