Chadisty Hickman, a junior guard for the Lady Statesmen Basketball team, has been named the GoStatesmen.com Female Student-Athlete of the Week for the period ending Sunday, Feb. 24 after leading Delta State to a 60-49 win at the University of West Georgia. Â The honor is the first of her career at DSU. Â
The Preston, Miss., native turned in one of her best performances to date for the Lady Statesmen, as Hickman scored 15 points and grabbed six rebounds in a crucial 60-49 win at The Coliseum over the University of West Georgia.
The East Mississippi CC transfer is averaging 5.0 points and 2.2 rebounds per game this season while shooting 42.1 percent from the field and 33.3 percent from 3-point range.
