Melanie Tombers wrapped up an impressive freshman season in the pool to lead the Lady Statesmen to a 12th place finish from the NCAA National Championships.  Tombers scored a pair of third place finishes, 500-Freestyle (4:52.48) and 400-Individual Medley (4:16.97) to break her own school record.

The freshman from Duesseldorf, Germany now holds five individual records while swimming on a pair of record setting relay teams.
