James Kilpatrick, a 6-foot-3 guard on the Delta State men's basketball team, claims his second CableONE GoStatesmen.com Male Student-Athlete of the Week award after helping lead the No. 22 Statesmen to a 80-53 thumping of in-state rival Mississippi College this past Saturday, Jan. 16 at Walter Sillers Coliseum.
The Memphis, Tenn., native turned in a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds in 33 minutes on the floor. The Cincinnati State transfer finished the night shooting 64-percent (7-of-11) from the floor, while dishing out three assists.Â
Kilpatrick and the Statesmen face a difficult home schedule this week, as DSU hosts West Alabama on Thursday, Jan. 21 at 7:30 p.m. and West Georgia on Saturday, Jan. 28 at 4 p.m.
