Delta State University women's tennis player Katheryne Valencia Perez was named a Guaranty Bank Featured Athlete of the Week after she won a pair of matches against the University of West Florida and the University of West Georgia. 

Perez secured the lone point for the Lady Statesmen against the Argonauts, as she defeated Raissa Wagner at the No. 6 singles spot 4-6, 6-2, 1-0. 

Perez then helped the Lady Statesmen to a 5-1 win over the University of West Georgia Wolves 5-1, as she defeated UWG's Katarina Karm 6-0, 6-0 to help Delta State secure its second victory in three matches. 

The Lady Statesmen return to action against Lee University on Sunday, April 2, at 1 p.m at the Devos Tennis Center in Cleveland, Tenn.
