CLEVELAND –
The No. 12 Lady Statesmen (17-2, 6-2 GSC) of Delta State University face a challenging week of Gulf South Conference competition, as the University of Arkansas-Monticello (9-10, 3-4 GSC) invades Sillers Coliseum on Thursday, Feb. 11, while the Lady Buccaneers (14-6, 5-3 GSC) welcome DSU to Canale Arena on Saturday, Feb. 13 to close out the week.

The Lady Statesmen and DSU Athletics will participate in the Women's Basketball Coaches Association's annual PinkZone Breast Cancer Awareness Week with the seventh annual “Pink Out” at Walter Sillers Coliseum.

The Lady Statesmen, Statesmen and DSU staff will also wear pink in support of the event, while encouraging fans to wear pink to the game. Anyone wearing pink to the game will receive free admission. Gates open at 5 p.m.

The Lady Statesmen will also be looking to extend their home court winning streak to 46 games. DSU plowed over Ouachita Baptist, 73-37, on Feb. 4 in their last home game.

Moe Bell, who needs just two three-pointers to become DSU's career leader, led all scorers with 20 points, while Veronica Walker added 16 points. Bug Cooper dished out eight assists in the win.

Both games will be featured on the Statesmen Sports Network starting 15 minutes prior to tipoff with the “SouthGroup Insurance Locker Room Report.” Jimmy Smith and J.T. Webb have the call.
