TVA CCU Final Results
FLORENCE, Alabama – Delta State shot a final round two-over 290 to finish ninth at the TVA Community Credit Union Invitational Tuesday at the 7,133-yard, par 72 Turtle Point Yacht and Country Club. The Statesmen jumped from 11
th to ninth and finished with a 902 54-hole team aggregate score.
Reed Lindsey tied for 13th with a four-over 220 and
Chad Cupples tied for 29
th with a nine over 225.
Jack Byrd had the second lowest of the day with a four-under 68 to finish 34
th with a 226 followed by
Brad Thornton with 235 and
Zack Pritchett with a 239.
Lee University won the team title shooting a two-under 284 and finished with an 857. North Alabama carded a three-under par 285 to finish second with an 872 followed by Columbus State (874), West Georgia (879), Limestone (880), Clayton State (886), Henderson State (890), UNA Gold (901), DSU and Montevallo (906) round out the top 10.
Lee's Taylor Davis shot a four-under 68 to claim medalist honors with a 10-under 206. West Georgia's Kevin Clarke and Limestone's Griffin Brown tied for second with one-under 215.
Delta State returns to the links in the Matt Dyas Invitational in Carrollton, Georgia, next Monday and Tuesday.
