OLD HICKORY, Tenn. — Delta State opened play at the 2026 Music City Invitational on Monday at Hermitage Golf Course, finishing day one with a team total of 579 (+19) on the par-70 layout.

The Statesmen were led by Cooper Jones and Gonzalo De Minon, who are tied for 38th after posting identical 36-hole totals of 144 (+4). Jones carded rounds of 72 and 72, while De Minon opened with a 71 before finishing with a 73.

Niko Salmi also contributed for Delta State, sitting in a tie for 44th with a two-round total of 146 (+6) after posting back-to-back rounds of 73.

Delta State will return to the course Tuesday morning for the final round, looking to climb the leaderboard and close out the event on a strong note.
