EL DORADO, Ark. — The Delta State University men's golf team wrapped up competition at the 2026 Arkansas Collegiate, hosted by Southern Arkansas at Mystic Creek Golf Club.
The Statesmen turned in a consistent three-round performance, finishing
11th overall with a team score of
972 (326-326-320) in the 15-team field.
Delta State showed improvement as the tournament progressed, posting its lowest round of the event with a
final-round 320, climbing the leaderboard to close out the two-day tournament.
Individually,
Niko Salmi paced the Statesmen, finishing tied for
45th with rounds of
81-80-84 (245).
Payne Bius added a solid showing, carding
80-81-79 (240) to finish tied for
27th overall.
The Arkansas Collegiate featured 15 teams and was contested over 54 holes at Mystic Creek Golf Club, one of the premier courses in the region.

Delta State will look to build on its momentum as the Statesmen return to action in their next spring tournament next week as they head to Old Hickory, Tenn., to take on the Music City Invitational.
