Big Break. The former four-year letterman and All-Gulf South Conference performer for coach
Sam Dunning is one of 12 competitors on this year's show.
"We are certainly excited about Brandon's opportunity," Dunning said. "Our program is proud of his accomplishments and will be following closely his progress on Big Break."
This season 12 aspiring tour pros will battle The Bear Trap and each other at PGA National for a chance to tee it up with the big boys on the PGA Tour at the 2015 Barbasol Championship.Season 23 features one of the most talented and diverse casts in series history: Collegiate All-Americans, mini tours champions, trick shot experts and the first amputee in Big Break history.

Big BreakThe St. Paul, Minnesota native played in 36 tournaments and 86 rounds for the Statesmen from 2006-2009. Hartzell ranks third on DSU's career birdies chart and second on the eagles list. During his senior season, Hartzell qualified for the NCAA Regional after finishing fourth overall at the Gulf South Conference Championship. He also closed his time at DSU with 12 top 10 finishes.
