Dalton Moats (2-2) struck out nine batters and did not allow a hit over the final six innings to register his second straight complete game for the Statesmen.

HOW IT HAPPENED- Trent Giambrone worked a one out walk and scored from third when Ethan Gill reached on fielder's choice to give DSU a 1-0 lead in first.
- Jacob Swiney was hit by a pitch to lead off the second and scored on an Erick Santiago single to give the Statesmen a 2-0 lead.
- Swiney delivered a two-run single, scoring Gill and Ben Pickard, coupled with a Matt Barrett sac fly gave the Green-and-White a 5-0 lead.
- The Wolves scored two runs in the third and one in the fifth to cut the DSU lead to 5-3. Ben Utley hit a solo home run and Drew Eady had an RBI single in the third. Caleb Lopes reached on an error and scored on a Garrett Hayes sac fly in the fifth.
- The Statesmen threaten to blow the game open in the seventh, loading the bases with no outs. UWG reliever Mitchell Mannino came on and struck out two and got a pop up to end the threat.
- A Barrett solo home run iextended the DSU lead to 6-3 n the eighth .
- Moats struck out two and worked a ground to finish the game in the ninth.
