Aflac Final Results
COLUMBUS, Ga. – Redshirt freshman
Zach Zediker carded a three-under, 68, to finish tied for seventh at the Aflac Cougar Classic at the Par 71, 6,515-yard Country Club of Columbus on Tuesday.
After shooting a first round 75, the Panama City, Fla., native finished six-under over the final two rounds with a pair of 68s to finish tied with Florida Tech's Han Zue, Valdosta State's Davis Roche, and Columbus State's Gideon Van Der Vyver.
John-Crawford Counts shot a two-over, 73 to finish tied for 17
th with a one-over, 214 54-hole total followed by
George Kawell in a tie for 23
rd with a two-over 215.
Zack Hammons rounded out the Statesmen scoring on the afternoon, shooting a five-over, 76 to finish tied for 79
th.
Noah Hill also shot a five-over, 76 to place 90
th.
The Statesmen finished ninth in the team standings behind tournament host and team champion Columbus State, which finished 17-under, 835 for the tournament. Florida Tech (845) was the runner-up followed by St. Leo (848) in third and Lee University and Limestone (861) were tied for fourth.
Carson Newman (862), Lincoln Memorial (869) Clayton State (870), Delta State (871) and Lander University (874) rounded out the top 10.
Florida Tech's Max O'Hagen captured medalist honors with an eight-under, 205, and Columbus State's Jordan Odull claimed silver with a seven-under, 206. Harry Boyle of Lincoln Memorial claimed third with a six-under, 206.
The Statesmen return to action in the Henderson State Invitational at the Hot Springs, Ark., on Oct., 2-3.
