KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Delta State University women's soccer team appeared in the United Soccer Coaches Top 25 poll for the second straight week after defeating the University of Montevallo in the Gulf South Conference Spring Championship quarterfinal last Sunday.
The Lady Statesmen, who are 6-1-1 on the season, went 3-1-1 in Gulf South Conference action this season.
Delta State sports the third-most goals scored in the GSC (21), while yielding the third-fewest (7). Forward
Diana Okechukwu ranks eighth in the GSC in shots (24) and third in goals (6), while goalkeeper
Amanda Hilliard is 12th in saves (10) and has the fourth-best goals-against average in the league (.813).Â
The Lady Statesmen will take on #2 ranked Lee University in the semifinals of the GSC Championships on Saturday, March 27 at 1 p.m. in Hoover, Ala.Â
