CLEVELAND, Miss. -- Delta State University women's soccer coach Mark Hiller has announced the signing of Ava Webster, who is set to join the incoming class for the Lady Statesmen in the Fall of 2022.

"Ava Webster comes to us from a very successful background in England having played at Sheffield United," said Hiller. "Ava is a ball playing center back who has a very good ability to break lines and play passes over various distances."

Webster, a Chesterfield, England native, played for Saint Mary's High School as well as 5 years at Sheffield United. In the classroom, she was a 3A stars winner in nine different subjects. 

"Ava reads the game very well, is strong in the air, and we feel could develop into a big leader for us on and off the field," Hiller exclaimed. "We are beyond excited to have Ava join us in the fall and her infectious personality will be a big addition to the roster."
