Cleveland, Miss. – Statesmen men's golf the hosted Derrall Foreman Invitational held at the Samuel T. Dunning Golf Course at the Cleveland Country Club. The team placed third in the tournament shooting a +20. Davis Byrd and Brett Baker finished third shooting +2 for the tournament.

Head Coach Landon Cottrell said "The guys fought hard this week. Everyone on the team had a couple of holes that ended up costing us in the end. It was nice to see two of our players finish tied for 3rd, but it stings whenever you don't defend your home course. We are showing some promising stuff, we just have to piece it together as a team and be able to play well for an entire tournament. I think whenever we do that then we will show others who we are."
