EL DORADO, Ark. – The Delta State University Men's Golf Team placed ninth overall in the Arkansas Collegiate held this morning at the Mystic Creek Golf Course in El Dorado, Ark.
 
The Statesmen as a team shot 965 (+101) in a three round tournament held yesterday morning and this morning.
 
Delta State was led by Senior Matt Nicell who shot a 236 (+20) overall. Nicell shot a 78 in round one, following with a 77 in round two and an 81 in round three.
 
Niko Salmi had the lowest round of any Statesmen in the tournament. Salmi shot a 75 (+3) in the third round.
 
Delta State will travel to Nashville next week for the Music City Invitational hosted by the Trojans from Trevecca Nazarene University.
