WEST POINT, Miss. – The Delta State University Men's Golf Program finished day one at the Dunning Invitational tied in fourth place with a team total score of 593 (+17) at the Mossy Oak Golf Course in West Point.
 
The Statesmen were led by sophomore Ty Werynski, who is tied for seventh place with a two-round total of 142 (-2). The Burlington, Ontario native shot a team best 68 (-4) with five birdies to start the morning.
 
Following Werynski is Peter Blazevic who is currently tied for 13^th with a two-round total of 145 (+1) Blazevic finished the day shooting 71 (-1) in the second round. In that second round, Blazevic had four birdies.
 
The Statesmen will look to climb in the standings tomorrow morning as they will finish the Dunning Invitational at 8:00 a.m. (CDT).
