Cleveland, Miss. - The Delta State University Lady Statesmen Softball Team (3-9, 1-2 GSC) are set for a midweek double header on Tuesday at 2:00 and 4:00 PM at home. The Lady Statesmen will face the Toppers of Blue Mountain Christian University (13-0, 0-0 SSAC) at University Field.

Scouting the Lady Statesmen: 

• The Lady Statesmen are coming off their first Gulf South Conference win over Union and look the keep the momentum going into this doubleheader. 

• Kyleigh Wheaton leads the Lady Statesmen at the plate. She posts a .486 batting average, including four home runs, one double, one triple, and 14 RBIs. In the win Saturday against Union, Wheaton went 3-4 at the plate with two home runs and four RBIs in the 8-6 win. 

• Kendal Moore has thrown 18.1 innings from the circle, tallying 16 strikeouts and accounting for one win.  

• Calli McConnell made an impact this weekend as well against the Lady Bulldogs. McConnell went 5-9 at the plate with five runs driven in, including her first home run of the season in game one against Union Friday afternoon. McConnell currently has a .483 batting average with a 1.329 OPS  

Scouting the Toppers: 

• The Toppers are off to a great 13-0 start to their season. Last weekend, the Hilltoppers swept Saint Mary-Of-The-Woods College in a double header Friday afternoon 7-1 and 8-0.  

• Maryn Macri leads with a .447 batting average on four triples, six doubles, and one homerun. She has also tallied 25 RBIs and 18 runs scored.  

• Anna Harrison has shown her speed around the bases. While hitting .436, she has been a perfect 23-23 on stolen base attempts.
