DADE CITY, Fla. – The Delta State University men's golf program finished the NCAA Division II South/Southeast Regional Preview at the Lake Jovita Golf and Country Club in Dade City, Fla., on Wednesday afternoon.

The Statesmen finished the tournament in 11th with a three-round team total of 857 (-7).

In round two, the Statesmen shot their season-high 22 birdies, two more than they shot in round one.

Leading the way for the Green and White was Ty Werynski, who finished the tournament in a tie for 16th place shooting a three-round total of 210 (-6).

Linus Utter finished even with a three-round total of 216 after shooting rounds of 76, 69, and 71.

Gonzalo De Minon posted a 216 (E) over three rounds, shooting 71, 73 and 72.

The Statesmen finished the tournament with a strong final round, led by Werynski's two-under-par 70 and Utter's one-under-par 71.

The Statesmen will be back in action next week as they travel to the Hurricane Invitational, hosted by Georgia Southwestern University in Albany, Ga.
