DICKSON, Tenn. – The Delta State University men's golf program wrapped up day two at the Gulf South Conference Championships Tuesday afternoon at the Greystone Golf Course in Dickson, Tennessee.
After shooting a team total of 299 (+11) the Statesmen are currently in eighth place as a team with a two-round total of 601 (+25).
Leading the way for the Statesmen is freshman
Gonzalo De Minon. De Minon carded a even par 72 to keep his total at even par through two rounds with total at 144, putting him at a tie for 15
th. De Minon had three birdies on the afternoon.
Senior
Peter Blazevic had a major improvement in day two. The Mississauga, Ontario native carded a 74 (+2) in the second round to move him up five spots in the standings at 33
rd with a two-round total of 153 (+9).
Right behind Blazevic, there are two Statesmen tied for 34
th place in the individual standings. The sophomore duo of
Ratchanon Aiemsumang and
Ty Werynski both have two-totals of 154 (+10). Werynski carded a 79 (+7), while Aiemsumang carded a 78 (+6).
The Statesmen will look to improve tomorrow in the final day at the Gulf South Conference Championships at Greystone Country Club. Tee Times are set for 7:30 a.m. on hole ten.
