BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Delta State University Men's golfer Ty Werynski has become the first Statesmen in seven years to earn first team All-Gulf South Conference honors announced this morning by the conference office.
 
Werynski becomes the first Statesmen Golfer to earn first team All-GSC honors since Zach Zediker earned first team All-GSC honors for the second consecutive season in 2019.
 
The Burlington, Ontario native had a tremendous season for the green and white in his first season after transferring from the University of Memphis.
 
Werynski posted a scoring average of 71. 3 in 24 rounds where he had six individual top five finishes and won the 2025 Derrall Foreman Invitational and the 2025 Samuel Dunning Invitational.
 
Ty will be participating in the 2026 NCAA Division II South/Southeast Regional in Valdosta early on next week.
