Maria Moya Morales, a junior on the Lady Statesmen tennis team, is this week's GoStatesmen.com Female Student-Athlete of the Week after claiming the lone victory in Delta State's loss to the University of West Alabama in its tennis season opener.  

The San Jose, Costa Rica native defeated UWA's Natalia Cardanas, 6-2 and 6-3, in No. 1 singles for the Lady Statesmen.
