Amber Adcock, a senior infielder for the Lady Statesmen softball team, has been named the GoStatesmen.com/Cable One Female Student-Athlete of the Week after leading Delta State to a series win at the University of West Alabama this past weekend.

The Brandon, Miss., native was 8-for-9 at the plate with three home runs and nine RBIs during the three-game series at UWA. In game one of the series, Adcock went 4-for-4 with a pair of home runs and five RBIs to power DSU past UWA 7-5. She was also 3-for-3 with a home run and three RBIs in the Lady Statesmen's 17-14 game two victory. The former Brandon HS standout was 1-for-2 with an RBI and a run scored in the series finale on Sunday.

Adcock is hitting .647 on the year with four home runs and 13 RBIs for the 9-2 Lady Statesmen.
