Delta State University running back Chris Robinson has been named CableOne Gostatesmen.com Male Athlete of the Week for his performance against Tarleton State in the season opener.
 
Robinson was recognized as Gulf South Conference Offensive Player of the Week, earning the honor after totaling 138 all-purpose yards, including 106 on the ground, with a touchdown in DSU's 34-16 season opening win over Tarleton State. The touchdown marked the 25th of his career for the Green-and-White.
 
This is Robinson's fourth honor of his career, and the second straight time he earned the award after the first game of the season.
 
The Statesmen return to action on Saturday, Sept. 9 when they face Chowan. Kickoff is scheduled for 2 p.m.
