This week’s CableOne GoStatesmen.com Male Athlete of the Week is PJ Davis of the Statesmen basketball team.
Davis, a Cleveland, Miss. product, averaged 13.0 points per game and 6.0 rebounds per game in 36 minutes per contest in Delta State's weekend games at Valdosta State and West Florida, including posting 18 points and seven rebounds while going 7-for-9 from the free throw line in a loss against the Blazers.
The senior forward is averaging 17 points and 5.1 rebounds per game in his last six games for the Green-and-White.
The Statesmen return to Walter Sillers Coliseum to host Montevallo and West Alabama this week. The Statesmen and Montevallo tip-off at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 13. DSU then welcomes West Alabama on Monday, Jan. 15 at 7:30 p.m.
