Brett Warner of the Statesmen basketball team.
Warner, a Collierville, Tenn. native, dropped 28 points in Delta State's 76-64 victory over Mississippi College on Saturday afternoon to help snap a three-game losing skid.
The junior guard went 11-of-19 from the field, including a 3-for-5 mark from three-point territory. Warner also went 3-of-4 from the free throw line, and added one rebound, three assists and one steal.
Warner is the leading scorer for the Green-and-White, averaging 16.6 points per game. He is adding 3.0 rebounds per game, and pitching in 1.9 assists per night.
The Statesmen return home on Thursday, Feb. 1 to face West Georgia at 7:30 p.m. for Pack the House night. It will also be Bolivar County Alumni Night. There will be in-game promotions and giveaways, and there will be spirit challenges for all campus organizations will take place to help crown a Spirit Cup winner. It will also be Dollar Dog night, where fans can purchase hot dogs for just $1, along with a variety of other concessions.
