Delta State University student-athlete Kelen Dietrich was named the Guaranty Bank Featured Student-Athletes of the Week after his performance this past weekend on court for the Statesmen basketball team.

Dietrich, a guard for the Delta State men's basketball team, averaged 15.0 points and 3.5 rebounds as the Statesmen swept the University of Alabama in Huntsville and the University of West Alabama.

Dietrich tallied 19 points and hit five three-pointers against UAH in an 84-83 overtime win for the Statesmen. Dietrich logged 37 minutes in that game and also added two rebounds and one assist. He followed it up with 11 points against UWA.

Dietrich hit two three-pointers and scored 10 of his 11 points in the second half to help Delta State erase a 12-point halftime deficit and push the Statesmen to 2-0 in Gulf South Conference play.
