CLEVELAND - The Delta State University Women's Tennis team dropped its season opener Sunday, Feb. 13 with a hard fought 5-4 loss to Arkansas Tech University at University Courts. The Lady Statesmen slipped to 0-1 on the season, while the Golden Suns improved to 2-0.
While Arkansas Tech dominated doubles play by winning all three matches, the green-and-white made a run in singles play, but fell just short in pulling out the match. Complete results are listed below.
