MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Delta State University women's tennis team (2-1, 2-0 GSC) bounced back on Friday, Feb. 3 and Saturday Feb. 5 to take down two Gulf South Conference opponents in the University of West Georgia (1-2, 1-1 GSC) 6-0 and the University of Alabama-Huntsville (1-1, 1-1 GSC) 5-1 in Memphis, Tenn., at the TPC Southwind courts. The green and white's match against the Christian Brothers Univeristy Lady Buccaneers was postponed due to weather conditions.

The Lady Statesmen gained their first win of the season against the Wolves of West Georgia by not allowing the Wolves a single victory in doubles or singles action.

Delta State picked up their second win of the weekend against Alabama-Huntville's squad by starting off fighting through and winning all three doubles matches 8-5, 8-6, and 8-5.
