CLEVELAND, Miss. - The Delta State University Lady Statesmen Tennis team fell 6-3  in a close nonconference matchup to Ouachita Baptist University on Friday, March 8.

The Lady Statesmen started off strong as Maria Moya Morales and Hidemi Mayeshiro won doubles one 8-4.\

UNA would take both doubles two and three as Sandra Tora and Hiristina Koceva would fall in doubles two 8-0. Doubles three would be given to UNA by forfeit.

In Singles action the Lady Statesmen would win two of six matches with wins in singles three and four.

Singles three saw Sandra Tora win 6-4, 6-3 and Koceva won single four for DSU with a score of 7-6, 6-4.

The Lady Statesmen return to the courts on March 9 as they host the University of North Alabama in a Gulf south Conference matchup.
