Results - North AlabamaFLORENCE, Ala. – The Delta State women's tennis team suffered another defeat, this time at the hands of the University of North Alabama. After three consecutive shutout losses, the Lady Statesmen managed to pick up at least 3 victories in a tough contested defeat, 5-3.The Green-and-White were unable to secure a win in doubles play, but luckily came through, splitting in singles competition with three DSU matches secured.
Katharina Assmann defeated Avery King 6-4, 6-4,
Sara Alvarez-Rubio won against Madison Patey 6-3, 7-5, and Hristina Koceva picked up the final singles win, 6-3, 6-2, against Morgan Jose.
The Lady Statesmen are now 4-10 on the season with a 2-5 Gulf South Conference record. Delta State's next opponent will be against the Lady Flames of Lee University tomorrow at 1:00 p.m. in Cleveland, Tenn.
