ARKADELPHIA, Arkansas - The Delta State University men's swimming and diving team dominated a dual meet against NSISC rivals Henderson State and Ouachita Baptist on Friday, Nov. 13. The Statesmen defeated Henderson State 209-91 and Ouachita Baptist 237-52.

- Short Story: The Statesmen dominated the meet, taking first place in nearly every event.
How it happened:- With a score of 289.40 in the 1-Meter diving competition Eli McBride achieved his first career qualifying score for the NCAA pre-qualifying meet at the NCAA Championships. McBride also finished second on the 3-Meter board.
- Matthew Swaine also qualified for the NCAA pre-qualifying meet at the NCAA championship for the third time this season with his score of 296.30 in the 3-Meter diving competition. Swaine took first in the 3-Meter diving event and second in the 1-Meter event.
- The Statesmen earned a 1-2-3 finish in three events: 1000-Freestyle, 100-Freestyle and 500-Freestyle.
- Cody Lavoie led the Statesmen with three first place finishes. Lavoie won first place in the 200-Freestyle, 200-Backstroke and 400-Individual Medley.
- Fabrice Wendel claimed first place in the 100-Backstroke with a time of 53.14.
- Mattia Schirru earned a victory in the 100-Freestyle, as he finished in 46.53.
- Matteo Fraschi earned wins in the 100 and 200-Breastsroke.
- The Statesmen concluded the meet with a first place finish in the 400-Freestyle Relay.
A Look Ahead:The Statesmen divers will travel to St. Charles, Mo., for a meet against Lindenwood University on Nov. 20-21. Both teams are back in action for the Delta State Christmas Invitational Dec. 12-15 at the DSU Aquatics Center.
