No. 40 Statesmen Tennis Team Taken Down by North Alabama

CLEVELAND, Miss. - The Delta State men's tennis team took on the University of North Alabama in Gulf South Conference action on Saturday, March 7th. The No. 40 Statesmen (3-3) suffered a 6-3 defeat to the Lions (4-3). The Statesmen only managed to pick up one doubles win, with Clement Depreeuw and Joao Yamacita defeating the team of Jonathan Vick and Miguel Garcia, 8-6. The freshman Yamacita also won a competitive singles match, 6-1, 3-6, 6-2, along with veteran Arthur Berthiaux winning, 6-0, 6-3, over Garcia for DSU's third victory.

The Green-and-White will now begin their week-long spring break vacation and will return on Thursday, March 19th to take on an NAIA opponent in the form of Lindsey Wilson College.
