ARKADELPHIA, Ark. - The Delta State University (0-1) women's tennis team dropped their season-opener 7-2 to Harding University (2-2) on Thursday, Feb. 11 at the Heflin Tennis Center on the campus of Ouachita Baptist University. DSU picked up victories at No. 6 singles and No. 1 doubles in the loss.

Freshman Celina Stracke claimed DSU's lone individual victory, claiming a 6-1, 6-1 win over Emily Faulkner at No. 6 singles. Junior Charlotte Le Flohic and freshman Nathalia Sato teamed up to defeat Harding's Piper Huey and Laura Golubic, 8-4, in No. 1 doubles.

The Lady Statesmen return to action on Friday, Feb. 12 versus Arkansas Tech University. Match time is set for 2 p.m.
