ATLANTA – In its final meet of the regular season the No. 4 Delta State University women's swimming and diving team earned victories in five races to defeat New South Intercollegiate Swim Conference rival No. 10 West Florida, but fell to NCAA Division III No. 1 Emory, on Saturday at the Madeleine Jude Brown Aquatic Center.

How it happened:
- Caroline Jouisse continued her winning ways, as she earned DSU's first victory of the meet, swimming a 10:24.33 in the 1000-Freestyle. Â
- Melanie Tombers earned the first of her two victories, as she earned a narrow win with a 2:07.03 in the 200-Butterfly.
- Jouisse picked up her second victory of the day, as she finished the 500-Freestyle in 5:02.19.
- Tombers closed out her portion of the meet, claiming the 400-IM in 4:31:11.
- The Lady Statesmen finished the meet by defeating UWF by over two seconds in the 200-Freestyle relay, coming home in 1:37.07.
- Casey Moore finished in second place in the 1-Meter competition, as she scored a 236.30. Hailey Leonard was the runner up in the 3-Meter event, finishing with a 230.30.
A Look Ahead:
- With their regular season finished, the Lady Statesmen will now look ahead to the NSISC Championships, which will be held from Feb. 15-18 at the DSU Aquatic Center.
