MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Delta State University women's tennis team finished the first match against Christian Brothers, 5-4, and then swept LeMoyne-Owen, 9-0, thereafter on Sunday afternoon.

In the first match, Christian Brothers opened the match sweeping all three courts in the doubles competition. Going to the singles competition, Delta State won on the first five courts giving them a 5-4 victory to take the match.

For the second match, the Lady Statesmen swept all nine courts taking an overall 9-0 victory over LeMoyne-Owen College.

The Lady Statesmen (4-8, 2-2 GSC) return to Cleveland as they host Mississippi College on March 22 with the match scheduled to start at 2 p.m.
