CLEVELAND, Miss. - A four-match rally gave the Lee University Lady Flames the 5-2 victory over the Delta State University women's tennis team on Sunday afternoon at the Court of Governors Tennis Courts.

The Lady Statesmen gained an early 2-1 lead in the doubles competition after Alex Howe and Nathalia Sato defeated Francesca Tondi and Marta Garcia-Nieto, 8-6, in the first spot and then Charlotte Le Flohic and Sara Alvarez-Rubio defeated Krista Good and Nicole Shennett, 8-4, in the second spot.

Lee eventually rallied in four matches to claim four victories in the singles competition to give the Lady Flames the overall victory, 5-2.

The Lady Statesmen return to action for a midweek match against Alcorn State University on March 29. Check gostatesmen.com for match times.
