ROLLA, Missouri – The Delta State University men's swimming team fell to Missouri S&T Friday evening as the Miners won eight of the 11 events on the way to a 128-77 at the S&T Pool.

How it happened:

• The Statesmen 400-medley relay won with a time of 3:26:64
• Nathan Sawicki took third in the 100 yard freestyle and second in the 500 yard freestyle.
• Matey Rezashki continues to swim well winning the 200 yard IM with a time of 1:54:50.
• In the 200 yard butterfly Adam Charlton took second with a time of 1:55:74
• Mattia Schirru took second with a time of 46.97 in the 100 yard freestyle.
• Giulio Brugnoni won the 200 yard backstroke with a time of 1:52:77
• Savio Ragonesi took second in the 200 yard breaststroke in 2:07:16
• The Statesmen took second in the 400 yard freestyle relay.

Notables:

• Brugnoni has won the 200 yard breaststroke in all three meets this season.
• This is the first D2 opponent the Statesmen have faced this season.

A Look Ahead:

• The Statesmen and Lady Statesmen return to action Saturday, October 20, when swim in a dual meet against Lindenwood and Drury in St. Charles, Missouri.
