CLEVELAND, Miss. – For the second straight year the Delta State University Men's Swim and Dive teams won the annual Christmas Invitational at the DSU Aquatics Center. The Lady Statesmen claimed second place in the meet. It was a meet for several veterans earning wins along with freshman claiming several victories.

Inside the Ropes:
- Madelyn Byrd opened the night with a victory in the 200 yard backstroke with a time of 2:02:43.
- In the 100 free Mattia Schirru won the 100 yard free with a time of 43:82. Giulio Brugnoni claimed second placing the Italian teammates on the podium.
- Brugnoni broke the school record, the pool record, and qualifies for nationals in the 100 yard backstroke in 46:39.
- Celina Batsel claimed second in the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 51:66.
- Sierra Rhodes took third 1650 yard free with a time of 17:06:90.
- Delta State freshman Celeste Turner took first in the 200 yard fly in 2:06:69 With Byrd taking second.
- Another freshman, Madison Lavoie won her second race of the meet. She swam 2:18:66 in the 200 yard breaststroke. Chelsea Borrowdale took second place.
- Matey Rezashki finished second in the 200 yard breaststroke.
- Adam Charlton took second in the 200 yard fly.
- The Statesmen finished the meet with a victory in the 400 yard freestyle relay with a time of 2:58:09.
